GSA Access Group was originally founded in 2000 by R. Wood Miles under the name FedPlanet. Mr. Miles earned a BA in Communications from the American University in Washington, DC and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in Boston, MA. Headquartered in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington, DC, FedPlanet has the distinction of being recognized as a GSA Industry Partner.

Prior to founding FedPlanet in 2000, Mr. Miles was Vice President and CFO of several Washington, DC area technology companies with responsibilities ranging from marketing and program management, to finance and contracts. Before that he was with the Government Consulting Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers, HBH Company, and First Data Corporation.

As FedPlanet continued to add depth and breadth to its service offerings the company continued to grow. In 2009 FedPlanet became GSA Access Group, LLC. Composed of professionals with many years of Government procurement and contracting experience; GSA Access Group works directly with companies to market and sell their products or services to the Government on a local, state, and federal level.
